Teletherapy

WE ARE NOW OFFERING TELETHERAPY SERVICES! Telehealth is a means of providing services using audio and video technology. This service has many moving parts, and not all ages, diagnoses and goals can be addressed using this platform. We, as a team, are working together to see if and where telehealth can be applicable to our clients. We will open when it is safe to do so, considering the nature of what we do. The health and well-being of our clients and their families, clinicians, and community is of utmost importance. We strongly urge those not currently enrolled in virtual sessions, to give it a try. Our clinicians have gone above and beyond to make telehealth sessions incredibly efficient and effective.

Please be sure to call your insurance company and ask if your specific plan covers Speech Therapy services via telehealth as reimbursable, and what your copayment is. Some insurance companies have said they are waiving copayments for the time being. For those not covered, we have private pay therapy options. We will continue to offer frequent posts to our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram) with Speech Therapy related activities and carryover strategies, as well as updates. Postponed Grand Opening

Hello everyone,

I want to start by thanking you for your support and excitement for our grand opening at our new office. However, at this time, we have made the difficult decision to pause all clinic-based Island Wide Speech sessions until further notice. We will be conducting sessions via teletherapy. The health, safety and well-being of our clients, their families, our clinicians, and the community are most important right now.

In the meantime, we continue to explore teletherapy options (please see above for more telehealth details). In addition, please contact your individual clinicians for activities and goals to work on at home, to ensure the continuity of our clients’ care. Please know you can reach out with any questions, concerns, or suggestions to myself or your SLPs at any time. Directions: We are on the ground level of the Chase building next to the Bellmore Post Office. When you arrive, drive to the back of the building where there is a parking lot and an entrance. We are the first door on your left.
